More than 1,000 job seekers are expected to attend a job fair Wednesday at a Carson community center, featuring 65-plus companies with hundreds of positions to fill.
The 2018 Spring Into Summer Hiring Spree is one of the largest job fairs of its kind in the region this year, according to organizers.
Participating employers include UPS, Long Beach Transit, El Pollo Loco, Healthcare Partners and FedEx. Jobs will be offered in the education, healthcare, banking and financial services, hospitality, retail, government, security and transportation industries, among others.
The fair is a collaboration between the Los Angeles County Office of Education, Los Angeles County Department of Public Social Services and the office of county Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas. It is also supported by the South Bay Workforce Investment Board, City of Carson, America’s Job Center and Workforce Development Aging and Community Services.
