Two parolees suspected of committing a series of residential burglaries in Anaheim Hills, and possibly other such crimes in and around Orange County, have been arrested, police said Thursday.
David Urban, a 45-year-old transient, and Chad Shoffner, 46, of Garden Grove were arrested by detectives Wednesday afternoon at separate locations following a weeks-long investigation, according to Anaheim police Sgt. Daron Wyatt.
“Detectives believe the suspects have been involved in additional crimes in and around Orange County and the investigation is continuing,” Wyatt said.
Both men were booked at the Anaheim Detention Facility on suspicion of multiple counts of residential burglary and parole violations and were being held without bail at the Orange County Jail, Wyatt said.
“The burglaries occurred between April 23rd and May 8th 2018, in the 400 block of South Peralta Hills Drive, the 1200 block of Night Star Way, and the 500 block of East Evening View Road,” Wyatt said. “The suspects were linked to the crimes through forensic evidence recovered at the scenes.”
The suspects are believed to have used a purple Ford Fusion with the license plate 7HEU183 and allegedly stole jewelry, computer equipment and sports memorabilia, which was sold to pawn shops in surrounding counties, Wyatt said.
