A suspect was in custody Wednesday after his arrest for allegedly shooting a victim dead in a park in Orange.
The shooting occurred about 6:40 p.m. Tuesday at Hart Park in the 300 block of East River Avenue, according to the Orange Police Department.
Officers responded to the scene and found the victim dead in the west portion of the park.
The suspect, allegedly armed with a handgun, was seen running from the area and arrested him.
Additional details about the victim and suspect were not released.
“The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time and there is no continued danger to the public,” according to a police statement.
