A man is hospitalized Friday evening after he was hit by two cars while crossing a Santa Ana street.
It happened in the 1300 block of West First Street, just west of Bristol Street, around 9:30 p.m., according to Sgt. Rosa Ponce de Leon with the Santa Ana Police Department.
The man was crossing the street when he was hit by one car, then another and both cars fled the scene, she said.
The victim was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, but he is expected to survive, Ponce de Leon said.
There is no description of either vehicle involved, she said.
