One of two men convicted of raping a German tourist in Hollywood in 2016 was sentenced Tuesday to 9 1/2 years behind bars.

A downtown Los Angeles jury found Otis Barway, 25, guilty July 20 of forcible rape in concert, along with a misdemeanor assault charge involving an unrelated non-sexual attack less than a week earlier.

Co-defendant Kenneth Mack, 29, was convicted of two counts of forcible rape in concert involving the Dec. 5, 2016, attack on the tourist, as well as rape involving a separate attack on July 31, 2016. He was also convicted of two counts of second-degree robbery and one count of assault with a deadly weapon stemming from the crime spree.

Mack is facing a potential 215-year-to-life state prison term, with sentencing set for Sept. 18.

Mack and Barway lured the tourist to an isolated rooftop, knocked her to the ground and raped her in the early morning hours, according to Deputy District Attorney Paul Thompson.

The two men were identified through DNA evidence and have remained behind bars since being arrested in December 2016 by officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Hollywood Division.
