The identity of the 92-year-old man killed on the 1300 block of 146th Street in Gardena has been identified.

He was Henry Hamada of Gardena, according to Gardena police Lt. Christopher Cuff of the Investigations Bureau.

The homicide was reported at 2:39 p.m. Saturday and police subsequently found the man now identified as Hamada unresponsive. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Cuff said Hamada’s death was a homicide, but did not clarify how he was killed.
