The Los Angeles County coroner’s office Tuesday released the name of one of two men shot to death at a Koreatown marijuana dispensary.
He was Manuel David Corral Jr., 36, of South Pasadena, coroner’s Investigator Jerry McKibben said. Investigators still haven’t notified the next of kin of the other victim.
The shooting was reported at 4:22 a.m. Monday at 447 South Western Ave., said Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.
Officers arriving at the scene of the locked dispensary were told by a woman who worked there that she and some customers heard shots fired in the waiting room, police said. She and the customers then left the business through a back door.
The victims were unconscious and not breathing, LAPD Officer D. Orris said. They were pronounced dead at the scene. At least one of the victims may have been a security guard at the dispensary, Eisenman said.
The suspects were described as two males with hooded sweat shirts and dark clothing, she said.
LAPD West Bureau investigators asked anyone with any information regarding the shooting to call them at (213) 382-9470.
