Police Wednesday released images of two men suspected in the theft of Louis Vuitton handbags worth about $20,000 from the Newport Beach Neiman Marcus store.

Three suspects have been arrested in the case, which stems from the theft about 4:20 p.m. Tuesday of multiple Louis Vuitton handbags from the Fashion Island Neiman Marcus store at 601 Newport Center Drive, according to Newport Beach Police Department spokeswoman Heather Rangel.

Four suspects entered the department store and committed the theft and fled in a vehicle driven by a fifth suspect, Rangel said.

Just before 6 p.m. Tuesday, three of the suspects were arrested at a pawnshop in Los Angeles, where all of the handbags were recovered, according to Rangel.

Both outstanding suspects are black men between 18 and 20 years old. Both have black hair. One was wearing a black hoodie, black pants with a large white stripe and white shoes and the other was wearing a black hoodie with white writing, black pants with a red stripe and white shoes.

Anyone who can identify the suspects or has information about the theft was urged to call the NBPD detective division at (949) 644-3790.

Anonymous tips can be left on the department’s recorded hotline at (800) 550-NBPD.
