A man riding a bicycle was shot and killed in Pomona Thursday morning by an occupant inside a small blue sedan, a police sergeant said.
Officers dispatched at 12:49 a.m. to the 900 block of East Fourth Street in response to a “shots fired” call found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, said Sgt. V. Terrell of the Pomona Police Department.
“Preliminary information was received that a suspect (or suspects) inside a small blue sedan fired at the victim as he rode his bicycle,” Terrell said.
The cyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
Pomona police asked anyone with any information regarding the shooting death to call (909) 620-2085.
