A 32-year-old man was jailed Wednesday morning on suspicion of sexually assaulting a woman at a motel in Jurupa Valley.
Deputies responded about 2:15 a.m. Monday to the Motel 6 in the 6800 block of Mission Boulevard and found a woman who said she and the suspect were inside a room at the motel when the suspect held her against her will and sexually assaulted her, according to Sgt. Ernie Esquibel of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
During the assault, the victim was able to escape from the room, run to the office and call 911, he said.
Deputies found the suspect, identifed as Emmett Davis of Chicago, and arrested him on suspicion of false imprisonment, sexual assault and domestic violence, Esquibel said. Davis was scheduled to be in court Wednesday morning.
