A man was hospitalized in critical condition Wednesday morning with injuries suffered in a shooting in Downey, police said.
Officers responded about 10:15 p.m. Tuesday to the scene near the intersection of Paramount Boulevard and Telegraph Road, according to the Downey Police Department. Video from the scene showed a liquor store at that location.
The victim was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Details of what led up to the shooting were not disclosed, and a detailed description of the shooter was not immediately available.
The name of the victim was not released.
