A woman suspected of trying to steal someone’s dog before entering a home and later grabbing someone’s wallet and then exposing her breasts when confronted has been arrested by Tustin police.
Officers responded about 7:10 p.m. Tuesday to the 15000 block of Pasadena Avenue to investigate a suspicious female who allegedly drove her vehicle in front of someone walking a dog on the sidewalk, got out and forcibly tried to take the animal, according to Tustin Police Department Lt. Brian Greene.
“She was unsuccessful in taking the dog and fled the scene in her vehicle,” Greene said.
Officers were informed moments later that a woman entered a home and threatened its residents, according to Greene.
“At one point, one of the residents attempted to call 911 but the woman slapped the phone out of their hands and left the residence,” Greene said.
After leaving the home, the woman confronted a girl and her father as they walked along a street, where she attempted to take a wallet from the youth’s hands. When the father intervened, the suspect dropped the wallet and exposed her breasts to the victims, Greene said.
Officers then arrived and took the woman into custody.
“The female suspect was positively identified by victims of each crime and was subsequently arrested for robbery, theft and terrorist threats,” Greene said.
It doesn’t appear that the suspect knew any of the victims and a motive for her behavior was not immediately clear.
The woman’s name was withheld because of the ongoing investigation.
Anyone with information about the case was urged to call Tustin police.
