One person was wounded in a car-to-car shooting Saturday morning in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles.
The shooting occurred in southbound lanes of La Brea Avenue near Venice Boulevard around 12:45 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
A news photographer at the scene said a passenger in a vehicle was shot in the head and was unresponsive when taken by paramedics to a hospital. Police could not confirm the extent of the victim’s injuries or condition.
The suspect was described as a Hispanic man, 25 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 165 pounds with long hair and wearing prescription glasses, driving a white 4-door BMW, last seen going southbound on La Brea, police said.
A motive for the shooting was unknown.
