A 17-year-old boy was killed in a shooting Saturday morning in the Exposition Park area of Los Angeles and the shooter was at large.

The boy was sitting in a vehicle in the 3700 block of South Harvard Avenue, just north of Exposition Boulevard, at 12:45 a.m. when a group of four suspects approached the vehicle and one of the suspects pulled a gun and opened fire, fatally wounding the teen, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The suspects ran off after the shooting. A detailed description of the suspects was not available, police said.

The name of the victim was not disclosed.

It was unclear whether the shooting was gang related.
