A man was injured in a possible gang-related shooting in La Verne Wednesday afternoon, police said.
Officers received calls about gunfire near A Street and First Street at 12:55 p.m. and found the victim a few blocks away, suffering from gunshot wounds to his upper and lower body, according to Lt. Sam Gonzalez of the La Verne Police Department.
The man, whose name was not released, was taken to a hospital. His vital signs are stable, police said.
No suspect information was released.
The area around A Street and Arrow Highway, and Bonita Avenue and Esther Avenue, was closed while police investigated but reopened about 8:10 p.m.
