A suspected drunken motorist was arrested Friday morning after driving a vehicle that slammed into a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department vehicle in Rosemead.
The deputies were responding to a call when the crash occurred at Jackson and Newmark avenues about 1 a.m., according to Deputy Marvin Crowder of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
The vehicle hit the passenger side of the sheriff’s SUV and both deputies were taken to a hospital as a precaution, Crowder said.
The driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI, he said.
The name of the suspect was not disclosed.
