A suspect in a vehicle reported stolen out of Upland was taken into custody after being chased into Garden Grove.
The chase ended about 6 p.m. in front of a Crunch Fitness gym in a shopping plaza parking lot in the 9800 block of Katella Avenue, near Brookhurst Street, just south of the border with Anaheim.
Anaheim police were asked to assist in the pursuit about 5:35 p.m., around the time the suspect was driving south on the Orange (57) Freeway, an officer said.
The suspect initially remained in the vehicle after coming to a stop outside the gym, but eventually got out and was swarmed by officers who took the male into custody with the assistance of a police dog.
