Paramedics rushed a person from the scene of a three-vehicle crash Saturday, where at least one of the vehicles crashed through a fence and knocked down a pole at a middle school just east of downtown Los Angeles.
The victim’s condition was not immediately known, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher.
Firefighters and paramedics were dispatched at 8:59 a.m. to Michigan Avenue and North Bonnie Beach Place, she said.
A vehicle tore through a 30-foot fence at Belevedere Middle School, 312 N. Record Ave., according to the California Highway Patrol.
A pole was completely knocked down, the CHP reported, and two others were partially down. The crash left the 30-foot fence leaning at the school, which is in the City Terrace community of unincorporated Los Angeles County.
