Anaheim police Wednesday released the identity of a 51-year-old man shot in the parking lot of an Anaheim motel Tuesday morning.
Todd James Megna of Orange was shot just before 7 a.m. Tuesday outside the Anaheim Lodge at 837 S. Beach Blvd., where he was renting a room at the time, Anaheim Police Sgt. Shane Carringer said.
“It does not appear to be a random attack,” Carringer said, noting that the two had some sort of relationship.
As for the motive, the sergeant said, “There was some sort of confrontation that led to the shooting.”
The victim was rushed to an area hospital, where he died about an hour and a half later, Carringer said.
