A woman was found dead Saturday on a sidewalk in Torrance, police said.
Officers dispatched at 4:45 a.m. regarding a report of a person down on the sidewalk in the 1600 block of Cabrillo Avenue found a woman with head trauma, Torrance Police Sgt. Alexander Martinez said.
Paramedics arriving at the location pronounced the woman dead at the scene, Martinez said.
“Detectives are currently investigating the circumstances of this death. The decedent has been identified, but her name is being withheld pending family notification,” he said. “This is believed to be insolated, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.”
