A driver was fatally wounded Wednesday in an apparent gang-related attack while sitting in his vehicle in South Los Angeles.
The shooting occurred about 12:40 p.m. near the intersection of South Hoover and West 58th streets, according to Officer Mike Lopez of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Two male suspects drove up to the victim and fired multiple rounds at him before fleeing, Lopez said.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, was pronounced dead at a hospital, according to Lopez.
Officers believe the shooting was gang-related, and asked people to stay clear of the area while they investigate.
