YouTube personality Corey La Barrie was killed on his 25th birthday while riding in a McLaren sports car that crashed in the San Fernando Valley community of Valley Village, it was reported Monday.
The crash occurred about 9:40 p.m. Sunday in the 4900 block of Carpenter Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
TMZ identified the passenger as La Barrie and the driver as “Ink Master” star Daniel Silva, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
According to the preliminary investigation, the car was traveling at a high rate of speed when it slammed into a street sign and tree, according to the LAPD and TMZ, which reported that Silva may face criminal charges stemming from the crash.
