Two people were freed Wednesday from the wreckage of a traffic crash in Desert Hot Springs involving a semi truck and a sedan.
The crash was reported at the intersection of Indian Canyon Drive and Mission Lakes Boulevard at 12:50 a.m., according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Both victims were taken to a hospital, one with serious injuries, the other with moderate injuries, the department said.
The crash forced the closure of nearly three miles of Indian Canyon Drive, from Worsley Road, near state Route 62, to Mission Lakes Boulevard, which as of 8:30 a.m. remained shuttered.
No reopening time was provided.
The cause of the crash was under investigation.
