Arcadia police Wednesday investigated sexual assault allegations on social media involving a former Arcadia High School student who allegedly recorded female students engaged in sexual activity without their knowledge.
The Arcadia Police Department became aware of the accusations Tuesday about 4:30 p.m. from a social media post, according to Capt. Paul Foley.
A person who claims to have knowledge of the behavior posted that for a least one year the 18-year-old suspect allegedly recorded, without consent, former and current female Arcadia High School students engaged in sexual activity, and then potentially shared it, Foley said.
The department is investigating the accusations as possible sexual assaults and encouraged victims or anyone with knowledge of the allegations to contact the Arcadia Police Department Investigations Bureau at 626-574-5163. Those wishing to report anonymously can call 800-222-TIPS.
