A man was shot to death in the Vermont Square area of Los Angeles, authorities said Monday.
It happened at about 10:15 p.m. Sunday at 52nd Street and Western Avenue, said Officer D. Orris of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
Witnesses said a man walked up and shot the victim multiple times, Orris said. Paramedics took him to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The victim was believed about 45 years old and homeless, he said.
