A slow-speed chase on the streets of Pomona that lasted about 90 minutes Thursday evening came to a crashing end when the driver plowed through the barrier of a raised parking lot and the vehicle overturned on a street below.

The chase began about 9:30 p.m. on East Holt Avenue, near North East End Avenue, and continued along city streets at speeds of less than 30 mph.

Video from Fox 11 showed the suspect vehicle get into a confrontation with a pickup truck, with the pickup then following the suspect vehicle and ramming it from behind.

Moments later, the suspect vehicle can be seen speeding through a parking lot, then crashing through a metal barrier, flipping in mid-air and landing on its roof on Towne Avenue, near Monterey Avenue.

The driver crawled out of the vehicle and stumbled around as officers ran to the edge of the parking structure.

The driver was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, NBC4 reported.

It was unclear what the driver was originally wanted for.
