One person died Saturday when a sedan and an ice cream truck crashed head-on in Duarte.
It was reported at 6:12 p.m. in the 1900 block of South Shamrock Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Witnesses reported a Honda Civic crashed into the ice cream truck and that a person suffered major injuries.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, the CHP said.
Officers at the CHP’s Traffic Management Center were unable to confirm whether the deceased was in the sedan, and did not immediately release a name, age or gender. The details of the crash had yet to be released.
