An 18-year-old Pomona man was arrested after police contacted him among a group of others in a local park and found a stolen, loaded firearm in his possession, authorities said Saturday.
The arrest was made about 10:20 p.m. Friday at Jaycee Park, 2000 N. San Antonio Ave., according to Sgt. Mark Medellin of the Pomona police Major Crimes Task Force.
Noe Razo was “loitering after dark” with a group of people in the park and was contacted by task force officers, Medellin said.
“Officers took safety precautions and proceeded with pat-down searches of each person,” he said. “Razo was one of the subjects searched and was found to have a loaded firearm concealed in his waistband.”
Razo struggled with officers but was taken into custody and booked for suspicion of possessing a concealed, stolen and loaded firearm, Medellin said.
