Los Angeles police shot and wounded a man who allegedly charged at officers while armed with a knife Friday in the Tarzana area.
The shooting occurred shortly after 6 a.m. near Reseda Boulevard and Oxnard Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The wounded man, in his 30s, was taken to a hospital in unknown condition, police said. No officers were hurt.
Officers went to the location in response to a report of a disturbance involving a man armed with a knife, and when the man charged at them he was shot, the LAPD reported.
