Authorities Monday identified one of two people killed in a fiery single-vehicle crash in the Crenshaw area of Los Angeles.

The crash occurred about 3:20 a.m. Sunday near of Martin Luther King Jr. and Crenshaw boulevards, said Officer Norma Eisenman of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Media Relations Section.

Eufenio Martinez, 25, and an unidentified female died at the scene, according to the coroner’s office and the LAPD. Eisenman declined to release other information, including which person was driving, citing the ongoing investigation.

The vehicle was westbound on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard when it struck a center median and caught fire. The cause of the crash was under investigation.
