At least one person has been taken to a hospital as a Long Beach shooting investigation continued, according to reports from the scene.

At 1:01 a.m. firefighters learned of a possible gunshot victim in the 5900 block of Long Beach Boulevard, according to Brian Fisk of the Long Beach Fire Department.

Responders arrived on scene just four minutes later, he said.

A videographer outside a hotel at that location reported seeing a man on a stretcher being taken away, face down, by paramedics.

Investigators were examining a vehicle parked haphazardly nearby with what appeared to be a bullet hole in the driver’s door, the witness said.

The condition of the victim was unclear.
