A woman suspected of stabbing a man and leaving him bleeding on a roadside in Banning was at large Monday.
The attack happened about 11 p.m. Saturday in the 3200 block of West Ramsey Street, near Sunset Avenue, according to the Banning Police Department.
Agency spokeswoman Sol Avila said the victim, Dwayne McKinney of Banning, was riding with the suspect, whose identity was not released, when there was an unspecified confrontation in her vehicle.
The suspect stabbed the man in the chest, then stopped her car, “walked around to the passenger side and pulled McKinney out … onto the ground and left the area,” Avila alleged.
Witnesses called 911, and officers and paramedics found McKinney conscious on the curb, suffering from a life-threatening injury, according to Avila. She said the victim was taken to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, where he is in stable condition.
No description of the assailant was provided. However, Avila said the woman was driving a silver sedan.
