A man was fatally shot Thursday morning at a park in Indio, authorities said.
Police were sent about 2:50 a.m. to Yucca Park at 43605 Yucca Street in response to a report of gunfire and found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound, according to Indio Police Department spokesman Ben Guitron.
Despite first responders’ attempts to save him, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was not immediately provided.
No arrests have been made, and no motive has been identified by detectives.
The slaying is the seventh homicide reported in Indio this year.
