A man was fatally shot Tuesday in a dispute involving a vehicle crash in Long Beach, and the suspects fled in an SUV, police reported.
The man, who was not immediately identified, was shot about 7:25 a.m. at Wardlow Road and Magnolia Avenue, and he died at a hospital, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
“Detectives believe there was an altercation between the victim and unknown male adult suspects that led to a car collision between the suspects’ and victim’s vehicle, which then escalated to the shooting,” police said in a statement.
The suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored, four-door SUV, according to investigators.
Anyone with information on the shooting was urged to call police at 562-570-7244, or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
