One person was fatally shot Tuesday afternoon in the Fairfax District by a suspect who remained at large Tuesday evening.
Officers were called about 2:30 p.m. to the area of North Ogden Drive and Melrose Avenue, near North Genessee Avenue, said Officer Rosario Cervantes of the Los Angeles Police Department.
A male victim — whose name and age were not immediately released — was taken in a private car to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead, she said.
Police have not identified a suspect or motive, Cervantes said.
