Authorities asked for the public’s help Monday finding a 3-year-old girl who was taken last month from her legal guardian by her biological father, who was only allowed monitored visitation with her.
Police said Freddie Lee Wisner Jr., 40, went to his daughter’s home Jan. 22 and took her without her guardian’s consent. The girl, Nevaeh Wisner, has an unspecified medical condition and hasn’t been brought back, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Wisner and Nevaeh were last seen in the 10500 block of Antwerp Street, in Watts, police said.
The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services was granted custody of Nevaeh Feb. 1 and “a protective custody warrant was issued for Nevaeh Wisner and an arrest warrant was issued for Freddie Lee Wisner Jr.,” police said.
Wisner is described as 6-feet, 2-inches tall and about 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Nevaeh has black hair, brown eyes, weighs about 40 pounds and is 3-feet tall, police said.
LAPD asked anyone with information about the abduction to call their Southeast Division at 213-972-7828 or 213-972-7813.
