An 11-year-old girl who went missing in the South Los Angeles area was found Friday.
Aaliyah Santana had last been seen on Thursday night near 54th Street and Long Beach Avenue, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
“She is a foster child, who recently had been placed in the care of a relative near where she was last seen,” police said in a statement.
The department announced about 9:50 p.m. Friday that Aaliyah had been located, but did not provide any further details.
