Police released video Tuesday of the attempted robbery of a 73-year-old woman outside the Westfield Culver City mall, and asked anyone with information on the those responsible to call authorities.

The crime occurred at about 7:50 p.m. Monday at the mall at 6000 Sepulveda Blvd., according to the Culver City Police Department.

While returning to her vehicle, the woman was approached by a male suspect who told her to “give it up,” and tried taking her keys and jewelry, the police department said.

During the attack, a second, female suspect struck the woman in the head numerous times, according to police.

In the video, police identify the suspect’s car as a gray sedan that drives through a parking lot. Footage that appears to be from a different area of the lot shows the woman walking alone before one suspect runs up to her. Shortly afterward, the second suspect appears to approach the woman.

The two seem to run off at one point behind a vehicle.

Culver City police asked anyone with information on the attempted robbery to call them at 310-253-6316.
