Long Beach police are warning residents Saturday of an ongoing phone scam by people pretending to be police officers trying to collect money to remove supposed criminal charges.
“The #LBPD will never ask for money to clear charges,” the Long Beach Police Department tweeted Saturday.
Anyone who gets such a call was asked to report it immediately to the LBPD at 562-435-6711.
