Four people were arrested on suspicion of drunk driving during a driver’s license and sobriety checkpoint in Jurupa Valley, sheriff’s officials said Saturday.
The Riverside Country Sheriff’s Department conducted the checkpoint between 8 p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday in the 5200 block of Mission Boulevard.
Of the 610 drivers screened, four people were arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, said Sgt. Robert Torres.
In addition, 23 people were cited for driving unlicensed or with a suspended license, and six vehicles were towed, he said.
The checkpoint was funded by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
