One person was killed and a child was critically injured Monday in a two-vehicle crash in Palos Verdes.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were sent to Palos Verdes Drive West at Via Zumaya about 1:45 p.m. and pronounced one of the victims dead at the scene. The person’s name was withheld pending family notification.
The minor — whose age was not immediately available — was taken to a hospital in critical condition, and another adult was evaluated at the scene of the crash but declined to be transported to a medical center, fire officials said.
The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
