A man is facing double murder charges for the alleged bloody killings of his mother and brother who were stabbed in Diamond Bar, authorities announced Wednesday.

Eric Kwan, 28, is accused in the deaths of Loretta Ho, 55, and Edward Kwan, 23, who were found dead in their home last Friday.

Kwan, who’s being held on $2 million bail, is set to be arraigned June 17 at the Pomona courthouse on two counts of murder, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Deputies from the sheriff’s Walnut Station responded at 10 that night to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the 1500 block of Kiowa Crest and found the fatally injured pair, said Lt. Brandon Dean.

Ho had been stabbed, and Kwan had been shot and stabbed, Dean said.

The suspect, who did not live with the victims, was arrested a short time after the killings, and no other suspects were being sought, Dean said.

No other details were yet available regarding the family relationship and possible motives in the murders.
