Sheriff’s homicide detectives are continuing their investigation Saturday of a man who was shot and killed in East Los Angeles.

Deputies responded to a 7:35 p.m. call in the 900 block of South Bonnie Beach Place, near Whittier Boulevard, where in an alley they found the victim — a Latino male in his 40s, according to Deputy Michelle Sanchez of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.

The victim — whose name was not released — died shortly thereafter at a hospital, Sanchez said.

His name was not released.

There is no information available regarding the suspects.
