A convicted felon was in custody Friday after sheriff’s deputies caught him with a cache of weapons and ammunition in Norwalk, authorities said.
During a routine patrol, deputies from the Norwalk sheriff’s station stopped a suspicious vehicle in an abandoned parking lot at approximately 11:15 p.m. Thursday, said a spokesman for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
After conducting an investigation they learned the man was a convicted felon and was in possession of several weapons, the spokesman said.
The suspect, whose name was not released, faces numerous weapons charges. No further information was immediately available.
