An investigation was underway Saturday after a man was shot to death inside a vehicle in the unincorporated community of Mead Valley.
Deputies responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call just after 4 p.m. Friday in the 22800 block of Rios Avenue, west of Perris, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.
The victim, who was suffering from a gunshot wound, was pronounced dead shortly after first responders arrived, sheriff’s officials said.
Authorities did not release the victim’s identity or give a suspect description.
The sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit was investigating the shooting.
