A 17-year-old Fullerton resident has been booked on suspicion of murder in the fatal shooting of another teen in Fullerton in May, police said Friday.
The suspect, whose name was not released because of his age, was accused of killing 19-year-old Tarcicio Magana III of Fullerton on May 28.
Police were called to the 3500 block of West Valencia Drive about 8 p.m. that day regarding a solo-vehicle crash into a house, Fullerton Police Department Sgt. Brandon Clyde said. Officers later learned that one of the occupants of the car was shot.
When officers arrived they found the victim near the vehicle, Clyde said. Magana was pronounced dead at the scene.
Another teen in the vehicle also sustained gunshot wounds, but survived, Clyde said.
No one in the home where the car crashed was injured.
Police did not release a potential motive for the shooting.
