Authorities Wednesday identified a man wanted for allegedly killing his estranged girlfriend after chasing her vehicle in the South Los Angeles area in October.
Keith Pullam, 58, allegedly shot and killed Cynthia Hairston, 53, about 10:50 a.m. Oct. 20 near San Pedro Street and Jefferson Boulevard, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
“LAPD’s Central Bureau Homicide detectives assumed investigative responsibility for the case and their investigation revealed that Pullam had confronted Hairston in the 1500 block of East 21st Street where he fired multiple rounds at Hairston,” police said in a statement.
“Pullam then chased Hairston southbound on San Pedro, and Hairston became involved in a traffic collision,” police said. “Pullam then fired additional rounds at Hairston, killing her.”
A man who was in the vehicle with Hairston was also shot, but survived.
According to witnesses, the gunman got out of his car following the crash, walked over to the victims’ vehicle and opened fire, wounding the two occupants. Family and friends told Fox11 that Hairston had a restraining order against the suspect.
Police circulated a photo of Pullam, described as 6 feet tall, weighing 250 pounds. He may have a full beard, police said. Anyone with information on his whereabouts was urged to call detectives at 213-486-8700; 877-LAPD-247; or Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
