A pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Palmdale was identified Tuesday by county authorities.
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office identified the victim as Daniel Ricozapata, 26, whose city of residence was not known.
Deputies were dispatched at 2:14 a.m. Sunday to the area of 25th Street East and Joshua Hills Drive regarding a call of a person down, according to a lieutenant at the sheriff’s Palmdale station.
Ricozapata was pronounced dead at the scene.
