A man suspected of driving under the influence is in police custody Tuesday after crashing into a police car in South Los Angeles.
Police arrested the driver of a Toyota Prius near Vermont Avenue and 79th Street at 4 a.m. after he led police on an early morning chase, said Los Angeles Police Officer Drake Madison.
The chase began near Crenshaw Boulevard and 43th Street at 2:55 a.m. and moved to the Hollywood (101) Freeway and the Santa Monica (10) Freeway before it ended in South Los Angeles.
No further details were available.
