A motorist was killed in a three-vehicle crash in South Los Angeles, authorities said Monday.
The crash was reported at 5:27 a.m. Sunday on Vernon Avenue at Avalon Boulevard, said Officer Rosario Cervantes of the Los Angeles Police Department.
The injured man, possibly in his 20s, died at a hospital, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office. His name was withheld, pending notification of his relatives.
The circumstances of the crash were under investigation.
